Pirates of Penzance auditions next week


What do you get when you mix a band of swashbuckling buccaneers, bumbling British bobbies, matrimonial-minded maidens, and the very model of a Modern Major-General? Gilbert and Sullivan’s exuberant musical masterpiece, The Pirates of Penzance. For more than a century audiences around the world have been enchanted by Sullivan’s luscious score and convulsed with laughter by Gilbert’s witty and whimsical lyrics.  Come be a part of this play, auditions start next Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Singing Auditions: Main Stage, Tuesday, December 8, 6:30 p.m.

You will be asked to sing a specific selection from the show, based on your vocal range.  

An accompanist will be provided.

Sheet music may be obtained from Adam Kluck (855-2213) or Mike Myers (855-2217)

Acting Auditions:  Main Stage, Wednesday, December 9, 6:30 p.m.

You will be asked to read from the script and participate in improvs.

Rehearsals will begin January 11, 2016.

Performances: Thursday, February 25 – Sunday, February 28
