Cameron Collamer is a transfer student from Casper College and is currently a sophomore at CWC. Originally from Saratoga, Wyoming, Collamer decided to attend CWC because the cross-country coach offered him a position on the team.
Collamer is working towards a degree in accounting. He started his academic career pursuing a degree in Education but it was Professor Willie Noseep’s class that changed Collamer’s mind.
“I found out I had a passion for business and it has blossomed into something I really enjoy doing,” Collamer said.
Collamer is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and recently made the President’s list for completing the semester with a 4.0 GPA. He plans to attend a university after he has completed his degree at CWC.
Collamer was nominated by his cross-country coach Al Lara.
“Cameron is not just a great student but also a great athlete,” Lara said. “Cameron never missed a practice, was never late and also performed well at every meet. A lot of his teammates look up to him or even ask him for advice. He would do anything for anyone and you could not find a better gentleman. He is a wonderful asset to CWC.”
In his free time, Cameron enjoys the outdoors of Wyoming; hiking, running and being on the river. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family especially in the summer while hanging out around a campfire.
