Rustler Spotlight-Dylan Cooper

Dylan Cooper is from Pavillion and will graduate this May with a double major in film and communications.

Cooper graduated last May in radio broadcasting and decided to complete two more degrees before transferring to a four school to pursue a bachelor’s degree.

It was Professor Maygen Cassity who helped direct Cooper into a path of communications.

Although he hasn’t narrowed his college choices, he would like to find a university that offers a degree in communications with speech or mass media.

“I would like to find a job in communications and hopefully with my degrees I will be more marketable,” Cooper said.

Cooper is a resident advisor and is an active member in Speech and Debate, Rustler Riot, Film Club and is a student worker in the mail room.

Cooper said he enjoys CWC and its easy going atmosphere.

“You can meet everyone on campus in two days,” Cooper said. “And the instructors are really nice.”

Cooper was nominated by Liz Vick, office assistant in the mailroom.

“Dylan is a hard worker and is constantly making people laugh,” Vick said. “Every time a student or staff member comes to the mailroom and Dylan is working they are smiling and laughing because he’s always cracking jokes. He is also smart and is about to graduate with three associates degrees.”

In his free-time Cooper likes to hang out with friends, work on his truck, be outdoors, be active and stay fit and he enjoys going to concerts.
