More than 200 people gathered last night for a chance to win $10,000 in a raffle hosted by the Central Wyoming College Athletic Booster Club and the CWC Foundation. The Rustler 400 event was a success and $37,310 was raised to benefit athletic scholarships at CWC.
The night consisted of an extravagant buffet, silent auction and the drawing of winning Rustler 400 tickets. During the event, 315 tickets were drawn and 18 individuals left with cash prizes. The big winner, Dave Haggar, took home the grand prize of $10,000.
“Loveeda White sold me the winning ticket,” Haggar said enthusiastically. Loveeda is a current CWC student on the women’s basketball team and graduate from Wyoming Indian High School.
“It is a pleasure to be able to support CWC’s athletic scholarship program and assist them in providing quality opportunities to its student athletes,” Haggar said when asked about winning. Haggar works as a transition coordinator at Wyoming Indian helping special education students reach their post-secondary goals.
